Site for Two ("we") uses artificial intelligence in parts of the Service to help couples draft wedding site content. This page explains what the AI does, what it does not do, and your choices. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Where AI is used
The AI couple guide (onboarding chat or stepper) may use large language models to:
- Suggest wording for your story, ceremony details, and RSVP copy.
- Organize answers you provide into structured site content (JSON fields).
- Propose optional section titles or short descriptions for your review.
When no AI API key is configured in a development environment, the product may use a deterministic offline draft so you can test the flow without sending data to an AI provider.
Human confirmation required
AI output is always a draft. Nothing the AI suggests is published to your live wedding site until you review it in the editor and explicitly publish or save final content. You can edit, delete, or replace any AI-generated text before guests see it.
You are responsible for verifying names, dates, venues, registry links, dress code, and any legally or culturally sensitive information.
What we send to AI providers
Personal information is not sent to AI providers in cleartext. Before any guide prompt leaves our servers, we replace partner names, city, and venue name/address with opaque HMAC-based tokens (for example ⟦PARTNER_A_…⟧). Your real wedding date and timezone are not sent — the model only sees a non-real sentinel date. Registry URLs are never included in the prompt. Free-text story fields are scrubbed so those same identifiers—and obvious emails, phone numbers, or long digit sequences—are tokenized or removed. The token → real-value map never leaves Site for Two; we re-insert your details only after the model returns a draft, then you still review before publish.
Guest RSVP submissions are never sent to AI models. Offline/dev drafts that run without an AI API key stay entirely on our servers.
Providers only receive tokenized structured prompts under their terms and our agreements. Still do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers into the guide.
Limitations and accuracy
- AI can hallucinate facts, venues, or dates—always double-check.
- AI is not a lawyer, planner, or translator; get professional advice when needed.
- Generated tone may not match your voice until you edit it.
- Quota and availability depend on your plan and provider status.
Your choices
- Skip AI suggestions and enter content manually in the CMS.
- Replace any section with your own text before publishing.
- Contact us if you want account-level help with AI-related data questions.
