What is Site for Two?
Site for Two is a self-serve platform where couples and wedding planners create a wedding website with an AI Couple Guide, then share it with guests for RSVPs, your story, gallery, and optional guest games.
We focus on the guest experience — not vendor marketplaces.
Is it easy / self-service?
Yes. Sign up, answer a short AI interview, preview, publish. No sales call and no designer required. You can always edit manually after the Guide drafts your content.
What are the plans?
There are four plans: Free, Celebrate, Pro, and Studio.
Free — try it with an AI quota and a public path URL at sitefortwo.com/s/{slug} (no vanity subdomain).
Celebrate — $49 one-time through your wedding date + 90 days (subdomain, game, unlimited AI in-window, no badge).
Pro — $19/mo or $149/yr to keep the site as a living memory page with custom domain.
Studio — $49/mo for planners and photographers (up to 10 client sites).
What does “keep forever” mean? What if I stop paying Pro?
“Keep forever” means staying on Pro (monthly or yearly). It is not a one-time lifetime license.
If you cancel Pro or your card fails after a short grace period, we soft-downgrade you to Free: your site stays live on your Site for Two subdomain, content and RSVPs are kept, but Pro features turn off (custom domain after a 14-day grace, unlimited AI, SMS, badge removal, etc.).
You can re-subscribe anytime to restore Pro. We do not delete your site because payment stopped.
How long does a Free site stay published?
Free sites stay publicly live for 90 days from the day you publish. We email you about a week before the window ends, then unpublish the guest page when it ends (your content and RSVPs stay in Manage). Publish again for a new 90-day window, or upgrade to Celebrate/Pro to keep the page live longer.
If you previously paid (Celebrate/Pro/Studio) and soft-downgraded to Free, your existing site stays live — we do not take guest links down because payment stopped.
What happens when Celebrate ($49) ends?
Celebrate lasts through your wedding date + 90 days, then soft-downgrades to Free automatically. We email you when that happens. Your page stays up; paid features pause. Upgrade to Pro if you want the long-term memory site and custom domain.
I’m on Studio ($49/mo). What if I stop paying?
After Stripe’s retry grace, your account soft-downgrades to Free.
All existing client sites remain publicly viewable so guests are not broken. You cannot create new sites beyond Free’s 1-site limit. Extra client sites stay live but editing is limited until you re-subscribe; you can still transfer ownership to each couple.
Custom domains get a 14-day grace, then guests should use the subdomain. Re-subscribing to Studio restores multi-site create/edit.
Best practice: transfer each couple to their own Celebrate or Pro plan so they own the site after the wedding.
Do guests ever pay?
No. Only the couple or Studio account pays. Guest pages never show checkout or ads.
Can I export or delete my account data?
Yes. From Dashboard → Billing → Your data, download a JSON export of your account, sites, and RSVPs, or permanently delete your account and owned sites (uploads included). Type your email to confirm deletion.
How does the AI Couple Guide work?
It interviews you and drafts structured site content (story, ceremony copy, optional game questions). Before anything reaches an AI provider, we replace names, dates, places, and URLs with opaque tokens on our servers so the model never sees your personal details in cleartext. You always review and confirm before publish. Free includes a monthly AI quota; Celebrate/Pro/Studio unlock deeper use.
See also our AI disclosure page.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — custom domains are available on Pro and Studio.
Connect yours from Manage → Custom domain, then add a CNAME to cname.vercel-dns.com (and add the host in Vercel Domains). Free uses sitefortwo.com/s/{slug} only; Celebrate+ unlocks {slug}.sitefortwo.com. If Pro/Studio lapses, custom domains pause after a 14-day grace (we email before and when it ends); the Site for Two subdomain keeps working.
Can I password-protect my guest page?
Yes on Pro and Studio (included). On Celebrate, add Guest password from Dashboard → Billing as an optional add-on, then set the password under Manage → Guest password.
Free sites cannot enforce a password. If you soft-downgrade or Celebrate ends, an existing password stops being required for guests (your saved hash stays so the gate returns when you upgrade again). Staff draft preview never asks for the password.
Can both partners edit the site?
Yes. Invite your partner (or planner) from the site Manage page. Pending invites attach when they sign in with that email.
Studio planners can Transfer ownership to the couple’s email — we email them a Manage link, they become the billing owner, and you stay as editor.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Canceling does not wipe your site. Export a JSON of your account, sites, and RSVPs anytime from Dashboard → Billing → Your data, or permanently delete your account there (type your email to confirm). See our Privacy Policy for details.
Where do we see RSVP responses?
RSVP responses live in Dashboard → your site → RSVPs after you sign in.
You’ll see each response, adult/child counts, check-in (Celebrate+), and CSV export from the Share kit.
On Celebrate+, Pro, and Studio we also email the billing owner when a new RSVP arrives (when email is configured).
Can we text guests who haven’t RSVP’d?
Yes on Pro and Studio. Add phones under Manage → Guest list, then send SMS reminders to non-responders from Manage.
Is there a Studio API?
Yes on Studio. Create Bearer API keys under Studio → Studio API, then call GET /api/v1/sites and GET /api/v1/sites/:id/rsvps. Secrets are shown once at creation.
Can Studio limit features per client site?
Yes. Studio billing owners can set a client plan override (Celebrate or Pro features) per site while Studio keeps paying. Couple-side Stripe for those overrides is still on the roadmap.
What are the photo upload rules? Can I crop or resize?
Gallery uploads accept JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF. Per-file size caps are Free 5MB, Celebrate 10MB, and Pro/Studio 15MB.
We reject images under 400px on the short side, auto-orient, downscale to a 2400px max edge, and save as compressed WebP with responsive widths (640 / 1280 / 2400).
Gallery crop presets: Original (no crop), 4∶5 portrait, 16∶10 landscape, or 1∶1 square. Drag to reposition and use zoom before upload.
Plan photo-count caps still apply (Free 12, Celebrate 120, Pro/Studio 500).
What about the hero / cover image?
The hero is the full-bleed photo behind your names on the first screen. Upload it from Manage → Hero image. Same file types and per-plan size caps as gallery.
Hero processing is sharper: we require at least 800px on the short side, downscale to a 3200px max edge, and save as higher-quality WebP plus 640 / 1280 / 1920 / 3200 variants for responsive delivery. Landscape photos work best.
Crop presets: 16∶9 (default), 21∶9 ultrawide, 2.39∶1 cinema, or Original. Drag to reposition and zoom before you save.
