This Privacy Policy describes how Site for Two ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use sitefortwo.com and related services (the "Service"). We are a United States–based service and describe our practices with a US-first audience in mind.
Who we are
Site for Two operates the platform at sitefortwo.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@sitefortwo.com.
Two roles: platform operator and site operators
When you create an account and publish a wedding site, you and your partner (if applicable) are the site operators for that site. You choose what to publish and how to use guest-facing features such as RSVP.
Site for Two provides hosting, software, optional AI-assisted drafting, billing, and security for the platform. We process data as a service provider on your instructions for guest RSVP and related site data, and as a controller for your account, billing, and product analytics needed to run the Service.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, plan and entitlement state, and dashboard activity.
- Site content: names, dates, story text, images, registry links, and other fields you or the AI guide add to your site draft.
- Guest RSVP data: information guests submit through your site's RSVP form (for example name, phone, email if provided, attendance, guest count, dietary notes, and messages). This is collected on behalf of you as site operators.
- Guest game data: quiz scores tied to your site, with a hashed browser session id (and a hashed phone only if a guest provides one). We do not store raw phone numbers for the game.
- Visit analytics (Celebrate+): anonymized page views (hashed session, path, optional UTM tags) so site operators can see traffic sources.
- Payment data: billing is handled by Stripe. We receive customer IDs, subscription status, and limited transaction metadata—not full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and logs needed for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- Run the AI couple guide to suggest draft content; drafts are not published until you review and confirm.
- Deliver RSVP submissions to your dashboard and optional email notifications.
- On Pro/Studio, send optional RSVP confirmation SMS to the guest phone when SMS is configured.
- Process subscriptions and one-time purchases through Stripe.
- Send transactional email (for example sign-in links) via our email provider.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with:
- Hosting and infrastructure (for example Vercel for application hosting and Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and related edge services).
- Stripe for payments and subscription management.
- Email delivery (for example Resend) for transactional messages.
- SMS delivery (for example Twilio) when Pro/Studio RSVP SMS is enabled and credentials are configured.
- AI providers when you use the couple guide and an API key is configured. We send only tokenized prompts (personal names, dates, addresses, and URLs are replaced with opaque HMAC tokens on our servers before the request). See our AI Disclosure. You must still confirm any draft before it is published.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use guest RSVP data for advertising.
Retention
We retain account and site data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Plan limits may affect how long published sites and archives remain available. You may request deletion of your account subject to legal and billing record requirements.
Your choices and rights
Site operators can download a JSON export of their account, sites, and RSVPs, or delete their account and owned site data, from Dashboard → Billing → Your data. RSVP lists are also available in Manage where plan features allow. Depending on your US state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact hello@sitefortwo.com to exercise them. Guests should contact the couple who invited them for RSVP changes when possible; we can assist site operators with platform-level requests.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, access controls, and tenant-scoped data storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated via email or in-product notice where appropriate.
